Interview for the "National Research Strategy BioEconomy 2030"
Dr. Alexis Katechakis in conversation with our Senior Nutrition Expert Prof. em. Dr. Hannelore Daniel – Ambassador of the BMBF's NewFoodSystems innovation space
As part of the “Im Dialog” interview series of the NewFoodSystems (NFS) innovation space, Dr. Alexis Katechakis talked with our senior nutrition expert and NCCR ambassador Prof. Dr. Hannelore Daniel about the advisory work of fors.earth with regard to corporate sustainability strategies and sustainability aspects that are taken into account as part of the holistic assessment in the NFS innovation space.
About New Food Systems
NFS is working on new approaches for the nutrition of tomorrow and is one of a total of four innovation spaces of the "Bioeconomy Innovation Spaces" program of the "National Research Strategy BioEconomy 2030" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The innovation room offers the framework for the research and development of new, market-ready production and cultivation methods for sustainable food production.
The basic idea of the innovation space is to bring together interested stakeholders from food and nutrition research and the food industry in order to jointly initiate bioeconomic innovations and use research results more comprehensively than before.
The innovation space is coordinated by the Max Rubner Institute (MRI) in close cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging (IVV). More than 40 partners from science, business and society have already joined the transdisciplinary consortium.
